The HVU-8 is a unique and ultra-compact HF VHF and UHF vertical, developed for installations in confined spaces, such as apartments and condominiums or for temporary or portable use. The installation is easily achievable and convenient as the HVU-8 is only ½ the height and weight of HF vertical antennas. It covers the 80/40/20/15/10/6/2M/70 centimeter bands, excellent for use with new multi-band HF / VHF / UHF radios. Each HF and 6M band has its own independently tuned radiator and radial system, while the main antenna mast is pre-tuned for constant 2M/70cm operation. Of course, the bandwidth is very narrow and the radiator element requires time and patience to tune but the results are amazing. The HVU-8 is equipped with U-brackets, for easy installation .
