Heil Sound HM10XD - Dynamic Base Microphone
The popular HM-10 has been redesigned with our new HC-5x and HC-4x elements mounted on an acoustically tuned chamber to reproduce the popular tight HC-4 response for DX and smooth frequency response with the HC-5 capsule . This allows users to use a full-range microphone for everyday chatter or instantly switch to a narrowband DX capsule. A microphone that covers all your communications needs.
The HC-5X (wide) is ideal for everyday use wherever you need full-bodied, full-bodied audio. A gain of +6 dB at 2,500 Hz, the frequency right in the middle of the human vocal pattern, brings great articulation to the signal. Bottom response begins to drop from 300 Hz. The HC-5X's -3 dB point is set from 300 Hz to 8 kHz with the tuned peak of +6 dB at 2,500 Hz.
The new HC-4X (narrow) element was designed for serious DXers. It puts a +10 dB boost at 2,500 Hz, which is right in the middle of the human speech range. The result is not a pretty sound, but certainly penetrating in pileups. Bottom response drops to 600 Hz. The HC-4X's -3 dB point is set to 600 Hz to 6 kHz with the tuned peak of +10 dB at 2,500 Hz.
The HM-10 XD microphone comes with a microphone clip and foam windshield.
A CC-1 adapter is required to interface with the transceiver.
