FlexRadio FLEX-8400M SDR HF/50 MHz transceiver 100 watts
Ref: FLEX8400M
Book it with a small deposit to confirm your wishThe FLEX-8400 offers the latest direct sampling SDR technology
With the FLEX-8000 series (consisting of the 8400, 8600, 8400M and 8600M models), FlexRadio establishes the new generation of high-class SDR transceivers. The FLEX-8400 is based on the architecture of the successful FLEX-6400, but has a CPU with approximately four times the performance and an FPGA with double the performance . This performance increase not only ensures shorter startup and loading times, but more importantly forms a solid foundation for the implementation of numerous future features that cannot be achieved with the resources of the FLEX-6000 series. One of the first of these innovations is "adaptive pre-distortion" (APD) which, according to the manufacturer, offers the cleanest signal on an amateur radio platform. All FLEX-8000 models also come with integrated GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) functionality and a future integrated NTP time server as standard. This ensures that all FLEX-8000 transceivers always remain on exactly the same frequency. But even without a direct view of the sky, the FLEX-8400 can continue to use the internal TCXO. The receivers are designed as direct scan SDR receivers. A sampling rate of 122.8 MHz is used; the AD converter has a word width of 16 bits. The result is an exceptional RMDR value of 115 dB (at 2 kHz spacing). As a visible result of this high-level digital technology, the user has a spectrum width of up to 7 MHz at his disposal, more than enough to simultaneously observe several amateur radio bands and orient his activities accordingly. The frequency range of the receiver extends from 30 kHz to 54 MHz, while the transmitter is limited to the amateur radio bands. The preselector with 3-pole band filters guarantees excellent immunity to large signals |
Support adaptive predistortionThe FLEX-8400 model is designed for the radio amateur who wants to use the radio exclusively as a server from a PC, laptop, Maestro , Mac* or iOS* client, both local and remote. Both models share the same band awareness, industry-leading phase noise performance, brick wall filters and legendary audio performance to deliver maximum enjoyment in a wide variety of operating styles. With a PC, laptop or Mac client you can use up to two 7 MHz spectrum/cascade displays and independent receivers to revolutionize your view of the bands. Its two receivers can be positioned simultaneously on any band and mode with instant QSY between VFOs. Operation in digital mode is a dream with no sound cards, cables or boxes needed. FlexRadio's industry-leading SmartSDR TM software offers compatibility across the entire FLEX-8000 Signature Series family to deliver continuous leveraged software improvement. And you can use the latest SmartLinkTM technology to access your radio virtually anywhere from any SmartSDRTM compatible client with just a login and password, even your iPhone. Features
