- Intuitive interface with touch-sensitive screen: With the sensitive screen you have an innovative, quick and easy control of the functions and management of the memories.
- Inclined controller: The control unit is inclined, to face directly towards the operator, to improve screen reading. The efficient built-in oval speaker has a clear acoustic output. An external speaker or electronic keyer can be connected to the control unit.
- DV, D-STAR mode operation: With the IC-7100 you can establish low-speed digital voice and data communications in DV D-STAR mode*. Connecting D-STAR repeaters via the Internet allows you to create long-distance connections with digital modulation that makes the audio clear and understandable.

- IF DSP Capability: The latest 32-bit floating point DSP technology supports many digital signal processes such as IF filter, double PBT, manual notch filter. Obviously this advanced digital process operates on all amateur bands, from HF to 70 cm.
- Suction cup base mounting: optional, MBF-1 With the MBF-1 base, which attaches to your vehicle using a suction cup, you have an accessory that facilitates installation. You will also need the MBA-1 Mobile Installation Bracket.
